Within seconds of meeting Richard and Alana i knew this was going to be a brilliant wedding. The ceremony took place in Ealing Green, West London. With the church preparing for harvest festival it was aptly decorated with signs of plenty which provided the most colourful of back drops for this wonderful ceremony. The lovely Jen conducted the service for Richard and Alana, a dynamite lady with a tremendous sense of humour, im particularly happy with the shot of her laughing outside the church, it was a shoot from the hip moment and came out rather well!
With all the guests pouring in all the nervous tension was dispelled by the general merriment and laughter, you could feel the love. As soon as Alana entered and made her way up to Richard both were beaming, it was one of those real ‘awww you guys!’ kind of moments – brilliant. Just across the way from the church is the most fabulous garden which is fronted by a war memorial, the grand gates made a perfect setting for the group photographs before disappearing round the corner for some more intimate shots. Photographing these two was so easy, so many smiles, you just cant help but come over all romantic (don’t tell my partner)
Now then, the most important part – the cake. As a proud supporter of all things cake im happy to say this one was a belter, classically English with a real touch of class. I digress. We then ventured to the Chiswick Moran Hotel, which is also in West London, but a stones throw from the church. The dining room was beautiful, decorated with gorgeous wild flowers in jam jars and packets of seeds as favours, in its own closed off area with a bar too, always good so you don’t get wandering guests. A genuinely classy hotel for anyone who is looking for a venue in West London, I think they conduct ceremonies and civil partnerships there also. The day was finished with much laughter and some superb dancing it has to be said – thank you to everyone who made me feel so welcome, it really was a pleasure to be a part of.
