Whittlebury Park Wedding Photography
A glorious setting for a wedding, not having been to Whittlebury Park before it was a fantastic opportunity to visit a venue I’d heard so much about. Being local to Northampton again its a super opportunity to tick off another venue in the surrounding area.
Now then, the venue! Whittlebury Park has three separate areas where one can be married; the Orangery, the Pavilion/Marquee and the Atrium. The orangery is fantastic, huge windows at one end let the light flood in, even on an overcast or rainy day you could manipulate the venue in so many ways in order to get quality photos.
A charming feature of the layout is the positioning of the staircase. The bride can glide down the stairs in ethereal fashion while the adoring guests look on before emerging at the end of the aisle, and with those huge windows is completely backlit which gives a fantastic clean white canvas to work with. Upon further exploration the second entrance has some unique features which again would work in a couples favour if the weather took a turn for the worse. I sound like a salesman, back to the important bits!
Shortly after contacting me Aidan & Alia sent me a photograph of themselves, as soon as I saw them I instantly recognised them, both were in the year below me at secondary school! (go Denbigh!) Arriving on the day I was greeted with so many familiar faces and knew it was going to be awesome. These guys are so sweet, and two of the loveliest people I’ve met, just look at the pictures to see what I mean, such genuine joy at being together. Just around the corner from the orangery is a walkway lined with greenery which is perfect for group pictures and couple portraits. Some quality heckling made for a brilliant set of speeches, the boys then not being able to resist the urge for some more shall we say, relaxed pictures. ( the superhero thing was my idea, worked quite well I think!) rounded off with an amazing live band blasting out classic stevie wonder hits and you’ve got an amazing wedding day, congrats guys, so happy for you xx
