Nether Winchendon House Wedding Photographer

On your search for a Nether Winchendon House wedding photographer, you may be browsing through their website wondering, ‘Who took all of these amazing pictures in the gallery of the Nether Winchendon House website?’, ladies and gentlemen, lords and ladies, you’ve found me. I absolutely love this venue, it really is an absolutely stunning place to hold your wedding. Whether getting married at a nearby church or having the entire day in the grounds, you have selected one of the best venues in the area, hands down. Why? The team that runs it. Welcoming, professional, efficient – that’s what you want from a wedding venue team, people who make you feel that you are the only ones that matter. There is a warmth that exists at Nether Winchendon, no doubt you’ve felt it too when visiting. It has a formality without being overbearing that lends itself to black tie and champagne receptions and simultaneously a casual nature blends seamlessly with rustic country bunting vibes. If you’re on the lookout for a beautiful wedding venue and a Buckinghamshire photographer who can cover the day for you, you might also like Notley Tythe Barn or The Dairy at Waddesdon? Check it out!

A true gem of a wedding venue, if you’re getting married in Buckinghamshire, you need to come and check out Nether Winchendon House. Unique architecture, acres of ground to roam and a feeling of being a world away, whilst still really easy to get to. It’s difficult to put into words just how amazing this place is, hopefully the images will do most of the explaining. The people are what make any wedding, but there is a magic in the air here that lets people relax. It’s like a home away from home, the formality that people expect of weddings is of course present, but maybe because the village is so quiet, everyone is so relaxed, the day is always a breeze.

In the case of the British weather turning against us, the picture taken to the left wouldn’t be possible as the willow trees are located down by the river. However, luckily you’ve got the amazing tree lined driveway to play with, which is of course hard underfoot so no need to worry about sinking in heels, and you always have (if you ask nicely) access to indoor space if it’s absolutely chucking it down. The dining room and the great hall have massive windows which let in plenty of light to create dramatic portraits and offer shelter form the elements, stained glass windows add colour to what is already an impressive scene. Having options is a must when choosing any wedding venue. It’s easy to become seduced by an outside location, however rain must be accounted for as the weather can be so hit and miss. Don’t get caught out planning for an epic outdoor wedding and then not checking what the alternative arrangements are, luckily Nether Winchendon House weddings are always epic, come rain or shine.

I'm Liam, This Guy

I take my work incredibly seriously. Myself? Not so much…

I’ve studied photography and Art for the best part of twenty years, I teach it, I write about it, I live it. I love it as a form of creative expression and it’s a genuine honour and privilege to be able to share in a couples joy and tell their story through pictures.

Exclusive Use Wedding Venue

One of the biggest wins at this wedding venue is the fact that you have it for more than one day to aid setting up and packing down. No one wants to think of logistics when planning a wedding, in an ideal world we would allow ourselves to be swept away by just how fabulous everything is, no? Just me then. Whilst I’m not quite that dramatic, it’s easy to forget that the wedding day, whilst very significant, is only one day, so making the days around it work as efficiently and as stress free as possible means you’ll be able to cruise through the wedding day and enjoy every second of it knowing everything is planned out and taken care of, and that you won’t have to dash out in the morning and pack up miles of bunting with a hangover.

Liam's vast experience with Nether Winchendon House was evident in the way he worked. He knew exactly where to place us for the best lighting, which scenic backdrops would make the most enchanting photos, and how to best capture the charm of this historic venue. His intimate knowledge of the venue was nothing short of a marvel, and it resulted in a series of stunning photographs that we will treasure forever. And let's talk about those photographs! Each shot was filled with emotion, love, and joy. The giddiness during the prep, the solemn vows at the altar, the pure happiness during our first dance - Liam captured it all with an amazing level of finesse and artistic flair. They were not just photographs; they were a testament to the love and joy that filled our special day.

My Wedding Photography Style: How I Work

Learn more about how I blend a variety of wedding photography styles to create something truly unique.

What sets Liam apart from others in the industry is his uncanny ability to capture candid moments. There's a photo of my father wiping away a tear during our dance, a moment I wasn't even aware had happened until I saw the photo. Liam has a magical knack for being in the right place at the right time, snapping away unobtrusively and immortalising those raw, genuine moments. Liam's presence was calming and comforting throughout the day. He was like a dear friend, seamlessly blending into the crowd and making everyone feel at ease. We were all able to be our true, uninhibited selves, and it showed in the photos

How I Photograph Weddings. My Approach

As a somewhat exuberant wedding photojournalist it may come as a surprise that I am incredibly adept at going unnoticed, I blend in so well because I’m able to empathise with my subjects and know when to get close and when to remove myself. Some people need space, it’s my job to know when to be a photographer and when to be a human being. My role goes beyond merely observing; I engage and converse with guests. Fully immersing myself in your celebration enables me to weave intricate and multi-layered tales. I can photograph the essence of a wedding by being an integral part of it. Although I’m quite tall, you’ll hardly notice my presence and my portfolio undoubtedly showcases my knack for blending in. Fear not though, for when it’s time to rallying the crowd for a group photograph I’ve got my teachers voice nailed!

My work melds various styles and techniques, forging a distinct style, unique to me. When a moment is humorous I can call on my photojournalism skills and play with a moment compositionally; while tender moments call for a gentler, fine art touch. A top-notch photographer possesses a wide range of skills and the expertise to know when to utilise each. My images encapsulate your unique qualities and the connection you share, all without staging or re-enacting moments.

Documentary Wedding Photography at Nether Winchendon House

Natural, candid & fun wedding photographs. I believe that weddings, and wedding photographs should be fun. Your day is a celebration and the pictures should reflect that. Of course, some moments are more delicate than others, there are often some tears, big heartfelt hugs, or even a full-on breakdown at the vows and speeches. Whatever the emotion felt at the time, that’s what the pictures should capture and allow you to relive. Joy is everywhere during a wedding day, even during the moments of remembrance, everyone is happy to be there and happy to be playing a significant role in the story of you and your partner. Nether Winchendon House has the perfect blend of arenas in which to enjoy your wedding day and experience the full range of emotions that all great weddings offer. Have a religious ceremony in the church, or a civil ceremony in the gardens or even the barn. Have a calm walk through the wooded glade, or take a stroll with a Pimms around the formal gardens. Host a champagne reception, or put on a ceilidh and go bananas. Whatever your heart desires, you can host it here, and I’ll be there to photograph it all!
