WE WOULD LIKE A FEW GROUP PICTURES IS THAT OK?
DO YOU TAKE PICTURES OF THE DETAILS?
We would like a few pictures of us together, but not spend hours away from our guests
Twenty minutes is plenty
How do we book?
Please get in touch by filling out the details on the contact page, we can schedule a meeting, Skype or phone call to discuss your day in more detail. A £400 deposit and a signed booking form is required to secure your date. Unfortunately I cannot hold a date without both of these.
Why do you love wedding photography?
As luck would have it, I've written an entire blog post on this very topic which gained a fair amount of traction online. You can read why I love wedding photography here. To summarise, there's nothing else like it. I've photographed houses, restaurants, food, still life, film stills, you name it. None of them come close to the enjoyment I get from photographing weddings. It's the buzz, the thrill, the emotions. The unexpected, the unique, the fun. No commercial client ever told me they cried looking at my photographs or that I had recorded a moment they will cherish forever, that client relationship doesn't exist anywhere outside of weddings. It's an opportunity to be involved in something real. Nothing staged or contrived, nothing forced or fake, real people and real emotions.
How would you define your style?
Documentary with a hint of fine art. I capture candid moments between people, nothing staged or contrived. I don't interrupt moments or ask people to laugh, everything you see on my site is from real weddings and actually happened.
How long do group photographs/couple portraits take?
The amount of time spent on group photographs depends on your requirements, however a comprehensive list of the people you would like in the shot aids a smooth transition to make sure there’s no unnecessary standing around for you and your guests. Typically this lasts no more than twenty minutes.
How long after the wedding will we receive our photographs?
Your photographs will be delivered six to eight weeks after your wedding.
How much do you charge?
Prices start at £1500. To get in touch to discuss your day head over to the contact page. If you haven't already spend some time getting to know my style on the blog and portfolio.
Do you travel?
Indeed I do. I'm very fortunate that I have family dotted all around the country who very kindly let me stay when I'm in town. My residence is in London, but I split my time mostly between my flat in Blackheath and the hotel of mum and dad in Milton Keynes. The location of your wedding is never a problem, last year I covered from Inveraray to Cornwall and Suffolk to Fishguard.
Do you have insurance?
Indeed I do, above and beyond what is often required even. Certain venues require increased insurance due to the history of the building or in the case of the Hornimam Museum, to protect their over stuffed walrus. If your venue requires an insurance certificate just let me know and I'll ping it over.
Do you need feeding?
I am a hungry hungry hippo. If you're able to provide a meal for me I would be most grateful. However if it's not possible just let me know in advance and I'll pack the jam sandwiches.
Can we print the photographs?
Yes. As far as I am concerned, the photographs are yours. Print, email, social media, please use them as you wish.
Will you take a mixture of Black and White and Colour?
All images are shot in colour and are changed to Black and White in Photoshop, all black and white images will be supplied in colour.
Can friends and family view or buy the images?
I upload your photographs to a secure site where images can be viewed, downloaded or purchased as prints which are delivered to your door. Anyone with the password can access these features, you may share it with whoever you wish!
Do you edit the photographs?
All of the images are edited by me. I don't outsource any of the work.
What happens if you get super sick?
If I die, I won't be able to attend, which would be sad. If I get sick, don't worry, I'm very fortunate to have a network of talented photographers and a replacement will be found, even at short notice. Don't worry, I'm not into extreme sports like extreme ironing or base jumping and I'm not keen on heights either.
When should we book you for our wedding?
If you think I would be a good fit for your wedding and would like me to be a part of your celebration then it's best to get in touch as soon as possible. Let me know the date of your wedding via the contact form and I'll reply within twenty four hours to let you know if I'm available.
Can our family and friends take photographs too?
Unplugged weddings became a sort of 'thing' in 2016. It is, however, entirely up to you if you want to enforce that at your own wedding. I have no problem with family and friends taking photographs at all. As a photographer I understand the joy of taking your own pictures and would never seek to take that away from anyone. There are sometimes issues where guests have ipads in your face as you walk down the aisle (which can block your view of your partner) but the call is ultimately yours to make. My recommendation? Have the officiant ask for no pictures to be taken during the ceremony so everyone remains in the moment and emotionally present.
