Real emotion

I'm a wedding photographer and I love it!

In this page I'm going to delve a little deeper into how I approach a wedding and hopefully cover all you need to know if I'll be a good fit for your day. I don't setup shots, ask people to pose or manipulate situations. I am there to document what happens and tell the story, not create it. Many call this approach photojournalistic or candid wedding photography. I prefer to call it emotional storytelling. Great pictures are timeless, and that's what I want to give you.

I don't take myself too seriously, I believe that life should be lived to the fullest laughing as much as possible along the way. This probably explains my love of weddings as everyone is so happy. I invest emotionally in each and every one and it's not uncommon for me to shed a tear during the ceremony. I have a wonderful wife and love her to pieces, and when I see the same bond in other people I instantly recognise it as being real. I love to photograph the ups and downs, the craziness, the LOLS and everything in between. You be you, and I'll photograph that, because that is real and real is awesome.

All the LOL’s

Weddings are fun.

It's not often that you have all your friends and family in one place, and of course, merrymaking commences! You never know what might happen next, children sleeping on chairs, grown men on tricycles, you name it it can happen. Everyone is happy and it's a joy to be a part of.

All about the people

For me, the people are the most important part of any day. I've been to castles, vineyards and festivals in fields, all of them amazing fun, because of the people. No matter where your wedding is held it is you and your guests that make it memorable. The bride and groom are of the course the main focus of the day, but I love photographing people, which eans capturing your guests doing what they do. I photograph the details and table setups as well, but the uniqueness of the individual is what truly captivates me. It's truly awesome to be in the presence of such a variety of emotions in an incredibly short space of time. One minute someone is crying, the next they are in the photo booth wearing a sombrero. Weddings are pure magic.
