Back to where it all started; Milton Keynes. After graduating from Nottingham Trent in Photography I headed back to Milton Keynes to start my business, and everything grew from there. Like most wedding photographers you never just know that's what you're going to be, until you shoot your first one...then you're hooked. Documenting people on there wedding day is such a privilege, wedding photographs should never be just a set of pretty pictures, they should come together to form a comprehensive narrative of the day - and that's what I always aim to create.
People often ask me what I think sets me apart from other wedding photographers, I think my genuine passion for wedding photography is what sets me apart - I love what I do. My portfolio does most of the talking, but you have to make a genuine connection with clients, you develop a friendship and they trust you, they will then fully commit to any ideas you have and this is where truly great photographs come from. Before deciding on a photographer, go out for a drink and really get to know them, if you don’t feel comfortable around them you wont be able to relax, remember they’ll be spending your wedding day with you, it makes such a difference feeling like you have a friend with you rather than a stranger. My style is unobtrusive, I record your day as it unfolds in front of me, at times it is important to insert yourself into a situation to make a good photograph great. My posing techniques are very simple, there is no dramatic jumping around or pretending to laugh, I use my experience to place you in the best light and in the right position – who doesn’t want to look their best on their wedding day!
