My Top Tips For Excellent Wedding Photographs At The Horniman
Confetti: The most efficient way to arrange your confetti photograph is this. When you exit the conservatory as married couple, grab a glass of something and keep walking until you get to the little garden on your right. Walk to the top and around the corner there is a little place you can hide. Have a few moments there to yourselves whilst I get everyone out of the venue and into two lines in the garden space. When ready, you’re already at the top of the line.
Big group shot: Once you’ve walked through the confetti line, everyone is already in place, standing on a slope (so they can’t hide). All you need to do is rejoin at the front of the group, i’ll stand on a chair and get everyone to fill in the gaps, click and you’re done! Two important photographs that normally require lots of time are done in under ten minutes. Now enjoy your drinks reception!
The Best Location For Group Pictures at The Horniman
I love trees, they are offer a lot of versatility for a photographer. Shielding from the sun or the wind, beautiful colour and a soft background for other colours to pop against – trees are great. Luckily, the gardens at the Horniman are full of them, but there’s one in particular, that ticks all the boxes. It’s nearby, so we don’t have to walk far. It’s sheltered from raging sunshine, it overlooks the sunken garden so you get flecks of colour, and to top it all off, it’s backlit so the light radiates through the leaves and looks spectacular!

The Victorian Conservatory One of the most enchanting features of the Horniman Museum is the Victorian Conservatory. This beautiful, light-filled space features ornate ironwork and glass panelling that provide a perfect backdrop for both intimate and grand ceremonies. The natural light streaming through the glass creates a soft, romantic atmosphere, allowing you to capture stunning, timeless images.
