Jennifer & Kit at The Horniman Museum
This wedding was an absolute treat for a horniman museum wedding photographer, lols from start to finish. Don’t believe me? just keep scrolling. When people say wedding party they typically mean the bridal party and the groom party plus the respective parents, these guys meant wedding PARTY. I can’t thank Kit and Jen enough, their families made me feel so welcome and everyone embraced me as a friend. It takes a great deal of trust to reveal yourself in front of a complete stranger and be emotionally vulnerable, it takes a whole new level of trust to take a lap dance from the best man whilst dressed in lingerie…and still be ok with having that photographed. This job is a privilege and I never forget it, being able to tell stories for a living is a true blessing. There are some more cool stories from this venue for you to check out if you want to see more of my work. Nick & Katy‘s wedding was also full of mad lols and heartfelt moments, there’s is the most recent wedding I’ve shot at the Horniman, we cashed in on some beautiful golden light as the sun set over south east London. Rob & Siobhan‘s sophisticated affair is a few years older, but still awesome. Rob rocks a double breasted green suit, nice. One of my favourite venues it has to be said, are we supposed to have favourites? Sure we are. No matter the time of year or the style of wedding, it has something to give everyone. A beautiful blank canvas that lends itself to any creation. I’ve seen literary themed weddings in the middle of winter, and the spirit of Britain bunting and tea cakes in the height of summer. If you need a stunning location and excellent team working with you, all for a very reasonable fee, then this is the one. Loads more real weddings to see at the Horniman, check out Natasha & Sam and Charlie & Alex too.
