Richard & Toni Real Wedding at Nether Winchendon House
It’s been two years since I photographed a wedding at Nether Winchendon House, and then two weddings come along at once, check out Chris & Iggys wedding here. I bloody love this place. It’s so easy going. I put it down to Georgina and her team, the calm radiates through the venue and everyone is in chill mode. Plus it never seems to rain there either? Probably just jinxed it, but then again I don’t believe in that stuff so aint’ no thing but a chicken wing – phrases like this seep into my everyday speech because of Huey Morgan on 6 music, every Saturday morning he’s there ready for my drive, busting out beats to get me going. You’ll notice that a lot of my work has shifted to black and white, colour is still important and can form an integral part of the image. However embracing my documentary roots I’m loving the timeless quality that black and white images have. Check out my black and white wedding photography blog post to read more. Glad to have you on board, head to the homepage to start the journey or view my portfolio to see more of my work!
I’ve seen a great variety of weddings at the venue and each one has taken to it as if it was made for that one style. I haven’t however, photographed a ceremony with a blessing under the trees on the back lawn, if you’re planning one of those give me a holla, I’d love to shoot it. Blessings in the church, marriages in the church, weddings in the theatre followed by a party, you can mould the venue to fit your needs. It is probably the most flexible venue I’ve come across. A typical day at a Nether Winchendon House wedding starts with the bride getting ready on site. Inside the house there is plenty of space and light for getting your day off to a cracker. Freshly cut flowers and champagne set the tone, sunlight streams through the blinds as you look out over the expansive grounds or up the driveway as guests arrive. Here you have choices too! There is a separate cottage next to the barn where you can get ready too, scroll forward to Chris & Iggy if you want to see it. Next the wedding ceremony. Walk to the church? It’s only a few minutes worth of strolling away from the venue. Doing the legal bit the day before? Why not get married in Aylesbury theatre? It’s a super cool building and the aisle is a spiral. Back to NWH. Garden games, champagne on the lawn, laughs a plenty. Hungry? Dinner is served in the barn which seats 140. Got more guests? The marquee can fit 500. Speeches, dancing, you know the rest, but plan the day as you wish, no venue moulds to meet your vision like this place.
Wow! The pictures are incredible. Thanks so much – we’re SO glad we booked you! We probably need to take a week off to immerse ourselves in them!
Thanks again Liam, we won’t hesitate in recommending you if anyone is looking for a world-class photographer!
