Braxted park offers a beautiful space to have your ceremony outside, which i highly recommend doing if you can. however the orangery is truly beautiful, so whichever you choose, your ceremony will look amazing. the best thing about getting married outside is that the options for customising your ceremony are near enough endless. of course, there are a few things to keep in mind if you’re planning an outdoor wedding. first, make sure to choose a spot that has easy access for your guests. if you have elderly guests, think about where they will be seated as moving them across vast open spaces of lawn can be tough. second, consider the time of day when you’ll be getting married. whilst we pray for sunshine in England, being completely exposed on a July day can leave your guests uncomfortable from not only the heat, but also the sun in their eyes. make sure your chairs are facing away from the sun so everyone can you in comfort, and if possible, be in a shady spot. lastly, don’t forget to plan for inclement weather. even if you’re getting married in the summer, it’s always a good idea to have a backup plan in case of rain. with a little bit of planning, an outdoor wedding can be truly magical.

Braxted park is a beautiful estate located in the heart of Essex. the park dates back to the 12th century, and over the centuries it has been home to many families of note. in 1768, the Braxted park estate was purchased by the rous family, who owned it for nearly two hundred years. during that time, the estate underwent a number of changes, including the construction of a new house in 1810. in the early 20th century, the estate was sold to sir Walter William law, who created a series of magnificent gardens. sir Walter law died in 1942, and his son sold the estate to lady Astor in 1947. lady Astor then gifted Braxted park to the national trust in 1956. today, Braxted park is a popular venue for weddings and other events. the park’s beautiful gardens and historic buildings make it a truly magical place.
