Dale & Charmaine – Real Wedding Gallery at Crockwell Farm
Back once again in the countryside where the rain most definitely fell on the plane…and the hills…and…you get the idea. I’m most pleased to report that Crockwell Farm has upped its game in the quest to become the best wedding venue in the county and installed a floor to ceiling glass wall which creates the most perfect spot for indoor portraits when the Great British weather is doing it’s thing. This is most definitely an important feature for any brides to be to consider as it ensures you have beautiful locations for photographs come rain or shine. A fantastic venue, full of charm and warmth, the candlelight against the brickwork like a big hug when you enter. This is a great opportunity for a shout out to Laura the wedding co-ordinator, you need this lady in your wedding life. Always on hand to get things done, it typically goes unnoticed on the day as everything happens behind the scenes, but all of the little things add up to make sure the couple have an amazing experience. Ready with a timetable, confetti or sewing kit, she’s got you covered. Looking for a crockwell farm wedding photographer? Get in touch!

This shot was taken next to the newly installed glass wall, natural light flooding in from left in this wonderfully secluded little spot – who needs sunshine when you’ve got style. It’s often a concern of couples, ‘what do we do if it’s raining?’ my answer is always be prepared and roll with it. Natural light can either be manipulated or artificial lighting can be used to create atmosphere, contrast and warmth. Often all you need is a window and a plain wall, as long as you can see how the light will fall in a certain situation, you can manipulate it to fit your needs. Planning is key, if it does rain, then so what, you’re ecstatically happy anyway and nothing can change that, at least if you have a plan in place you know that there’s no need to worry and your photographs will still be beautiful. This shot was taken using the free-lensing technique pioneered by the amazing photographer based in Washington, Sam Hurd. It takes plenty of practice in your free time to get it right, and there’s no better feeling than when you nail it, sharp focus on the face with a beautiful fall off in focus. It also helps when the couple are as cool as Dale & Charmaine!
“Liam, It’s amazing to be able to relive the day through your photographs. Perfect in every way”
