Ambling through the grounds of Nonsuch Mansion is certainly good for the soul, there’s something quite magical about emerald flashes of green woodpeckers set against the delicate summer breeze dancing through the trees. Hello, it’s me again, taking you along on my photographic adventures as a wedding photographer. Today, I want to share my experiences and joys of being a Nonsuch Mansion wedding photographer.
Nonsuch Mansion Wedding Photographer
Georgian and Tudor architectural nuances and manicured gardens set the scene at Nonsuch Mansion. Add to the medley the biggest bouquet you’ve ever encountered and some truly spectacular people to make this a truly unique wedding. It’s always an honour when a fellow photographer asks you to shoot their day, Ben is a talented architectural photographer himself and has a keen eye for composition. Ben’s now father in law also has an incredibly enviable job of travelling the world photographing for charities, to get the seal of approval from two heavyweights is a tremendous feeling. So many unique little twists put the personal touch on Ben and Paige’s day, the groom came down the aisle first with his mum which was really cool, why can’t we guys make an entrance too?! For the bride out their looking for inspiration on where would be ideal to get ready in the morning, definitely follow the blueprint of Nonsuch mansion. Mirrors on both sides combined with dual aspect windows creates so many options. Using the reflections allows you to shoot at almost any angle, when Paige put her veil on I managed to get a three mirror trick shot going, I felt like John Virgo! (obscure snooker reference there).
I’ve been asked plenty of times how many bridesmaids is too many (my fiancé has ten, yes ten), I honestly don’t think there should ever be a set guide or a number to follow. Having your closest friends around you is a great distraction when the nerves start to set in and some of the best photographs come from their reaction when they see the bride. Hands clasped, eyes welling up, massive smiles, pure emotion is what life is all about. Thank you so much guys, big love, it was awesome to be a part of your day.
