Documentary Wedding Photographer in London and Milton Keynes
I started my career photographing film stills, but then discovered documentary wedding photography and that’s where my story begins. Remaining unseen and not disturbing the action, I capture the natural moments, the laughs, tears and ultimate joy that comes from such an eventful day. Choosing a photojournalist is an incredibly personal thing, its important that you feel relaxed and establish trust before the day. My portfolio and blog demonstrates the narrative that I aim to capture, telling the entire story of your day, from start to finish. I’m based in London but ideally suited for travel throughout the United Kingdom and further afield if required. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer in London, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Buckinghamshire or any of the Home Counties then please do get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.
Reportage image maker for the modern couple
Capturing your day is a great honour. I document moments between friends and family, happy or sad, as long as its real. Your wedding day goes by so quickly that it’s essential to capture the essence of it. From the roller-coaster of emotions to the prettiest little details. I don’t want your wedding to be just another blog post, or a carbon copy from the previous week. I want to photograph what makes your day real, nothing staged or contrived, ultimately delivering a story that you can relive over and over again.
I’m fortunate to have been a part of some fantastic weddings both at home and abroad. Recent destination weddings include trips to Nerja in southern Spain and a magnificent part of Tuscany. I’m incredibly grateful to all those who voted for me in this years wedding industry awards. I was amazed that I won the best wedding photographer Buckinghamshire category. Memorable weddings took place at the Horniman Museum and has been featured on the Rock My Wedding Blog, check out my blog post here. Although I’m now based in London I still maintain an office in my home town of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire. Please explore the following blog posts to see more of my work: Woburn Sculpture Gallery, Nether Winchendon House, Chicheley Hall, Crockwell Farm, Stoke Place, Manor by the Lake, Braxted Park, and Mountains Country House. Have a look through the gallery for more examples of my work. Flick through the blog to stay up to date with all the latest events or fill out the contact form if you’d like to get in touch. I also supply documentary wedding video and commercial video.
Relaxed Style of Photography
My style of photography is completely unobtrusive. I don’t interfere with any situation and let the events unfold in front of me. I love nothing more than capturing a moment that is true rather than constructed or contrived. Of course it’s always fun to take pictures of you both together. It’s my job to make you feel relaxed to make sure that you have photographs of yourselves that you recognise! I won’t make you run and jump or fake a laugh. My photographs reflect who you are, not who I think you should be just for a picture. Photography has changed dramatically over the last ten years. Faster lenses and more sophisticated sensors means we can capture those intimate moments anywhere from candlelit churches to wine cellars in France.Capturing your style is important too. The beautiful venue that may have taken you some time to choose, the fresh flowers, stylish cake, ribbons and details. Each of these components have taken time and planning, so it’s important to get pictures of these too, ensuring that everything will come together to create a narrative of your day. For London wedding photography that offers a little bit more cool, mixed with laughter, fun and a relaxed approach, give me a call or an email. I’d love to hear from you. Above is a few selected galleries to give you an idea of what all day London wedding photography looks like.
